Product description
Parts of the Whole Playing Cards enable players to master the different ways of expressing fractional value, an important element to master in the middle school math curriculum. Players can engage in familiar individual or group matching or comparison games like memory, go fish, war, old maid, pig, rummy, and crazy eights.
Parts of the Whole Playing Cards include 110 cards: 2 instruction cards and 108 playing cards-27 sets of four. Each set of four represents the same part of the whole. For example, every card in the one set of four cards (3/4, 0.75, 75%, and a circular graphic with 3 out of 4 pieces colored in) has the value of 0.75. Each set of four cards has a different color to distinguish its part of the whole from the others. The different colors enable self-checking.
